On the tennis court, I learned that preparation was the general key to a winning performance. That’s translated to the speaking platform as well. My commitment to you as a speaker is one of spending enough time to learn everything on the background of your organization to deliver a winning presentation on the stage.
Preparation will also include your completion of a pre-program questionnaire. That will give me a better understanding of the scope of your meeting objectives to give you maximum value to your event. The documentation helps me develop a preliminary outline of the presentation to be reviewed together via a conference call. That way the message can be more tailored to your audience.
Other key items are your organization’s mission statement, industry article and meeting agenda. My prep work can also include a review of copies of other presentations to be delivered at the meeting by people from within your own organization. Those can be used to deliver a cohesive message across the board for your event.
Wow, the way you incorporated our meeting theme, National Sales Managers remarks, and background information about our audience was masterful! You made me look like a here! In fact, I had to visit my chiropractor because I received so many pats on the back!

A lavaliere microphone clips to the lapel or fits around the neck. A wireless lavaliere is preferred; however, one with a cord is satisfactory. Please make sure that the cord has sufficient length for Roger to walk from side to side on the stage.
The person who introduces Roger will need a separate microphone.
Please provide an elevated stage so audience members can see Roger clearly. Roger needs a minimum of 12 feet in stage length.
Roger will bring his PowerPoint presentation on a USB flash drive. Please make sure that the screen is large enough for everyone in the audience to see. If you do not have rear projection, please place the screen off to the side of the stage so the projector does not block the view of the audience.
Roger requests that the audience be seated as close to him as possible. Theater style is preferred. If Roger is speaking following a meal, please make sure that the meal servers are not picking up dishes or pouring coffee during his presentation. This can be distracting for the audience.
If you have questions regarding Roger’s audio-video needs or the room set-up, please contact Kathryn Hill, Director of Possibilities, 1-800-311-3344.
